The 160 years of Presbyterianism in Glens Falls is a story of five Churches and their people. Each one grew in it's own time to fill the needs of the community. Each one has been blessed with inspired leadership and with men and women with great Christian purpose.

From humble 'Old White' which had it's beginning in 1803-1808 with but nine members, we have grown to a membership of 2,000. It is fitting that we look back and from these reflections of the past perhaps gain a new sense of direction and purpose of the future.

2nd Church

Built on Warren Street site of "Old White". Completed and dedicated in March 1850.

4th Church

Built in 1884; Balconies added in 1897. Total Cost $50,386.00

Sold in 1925 and remodeled for commercial purposes.

 

"Old White"

On March 4th, 1803, subscriptions from 38 people totaled $974

1806 - Became Union Church of Pearl Village - John Folsom, Lay Preacher.

Dedicated in 1807; Completed and occupied in 1808

1829-46 - Several brief pastorates
1846 - Rev. Dr. A.J. Fennel
